GAS SERVICERebate Application

Carrollton Utilities gas service is available for residential, commercial and industrial customers in the cities of Carrollton, Prestonville, Milton, Owenton, and Ghent. Territory expands beyond the city limits into surrounding counties of Carroll, Trimble, Owen, and Gallatin, Kentucky.

Meters are the property of Carrollton Utilities and only authorized utility personnel are allowed to turn these meters on and off.

Utility bills are issued around the 10th of each month with a due date of the 20th. We require an application and security deposit for any new service requests. To establish service you must visit our office with a picture ID and payment for the security deposit as required in our rules and regulations.

Gas Budget Billing

Gas Budget Billing is available to help minimize the impact of the winter heating season. Signups are during the months of June and July. Call 732-7055 for details.

Heating Assistance Programs are in place to help customers with payment of their bills. The Northern KY Community Action Center is located at 1302 Highland Avenue. Call 732-5253 for details.

GAS LINE REPAIR
$350 minimum charge will be issued to repair damaged gas lines due to negligence of excavator. Extraordinary circumstances will be charged time and material for repair.  Always call 811 nationwide before you dig to have underground utility lines located.

COST OF NEW GAS SERVICE
(Effective February 27, 2009)

A gas service will be installed at a cost of $2 per foot. However, the customer will receive a 50 foot refund on their account for each natural gas appliance after services are activated. The meter is placed next to the building in a mutually agreed upon location. Footage is measured from the main to meter. An air pressure test must be placed on all the lines installed by the customer and Carrollton Utilities must be called to inspect test before service can be activated.
